California Atlas & Gazetteer includes 138 pages of maps
covering the entire state. The scale of the maps is 1:200,000 (one
unit of measure on the map represents 200,000 of the same unit of measure
on the ground). Each map page is composed of 35 minutes of longitude and
37.5 minutes of latitude covering an area of 32 miles (51.5 km) wide by
44.4 miles (71.5 km) high. You could create a wall map of California
by tapping together all the map pages from 2 atlases. The resulting
mosaic would measure 15.25 wide by 17.5 feet high.
