The topographic maps define the lay of the land, from the Appalachian Mountains to the Tidewater Basin. And, there is copious information on Civil War sites, historic homes and plantations, plus caverns, waterfalls, boat trips, wineries and scenic drives—including the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge–Tunnel.The scale is 1:150,000 or 1" to 2.4 miles. A mosaic of all the maps would measure 17 feet wide by 7+ feet high.
